Now that the packing, traveling, and jet leg are over, I thought it was about time to start the blog! You might think the title is unusual but there is a meaning behind it. A walkabout is a traditional Aborigine term referring to a brief, informal leave from work, taken by an Aborigine to wander the bush, visit relatives, or return to native life. My walkabout is more a temporary leave from work (at least for the time being) to explore Australian bush ("trails" in America), learn a different culture, experience an amazing adventure, and meet new people!
